Iran Press/Iran News: With two exclusive classical music concerts, the Italian duo, Dino De Palma (violin) and Gianna Fratta (piano) completed a tour in Iran marked by the warm reception and considerable public interest.
The first concert was hosted on February 19 at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador in Tehran, Giuseppe Perrone, while the second one was held at Vahdat Hall on the occasion of the 36th edition of the Fajr Music Festival.
The concert at the Italian Residence, with a limited audience due to Covid19 pandemic prevention protocols, was streamed live on the social media channels of the Italian Embassy.
The second concert, held the next day, was one of the most remarkable and anticipated appointments of the Fajr Music Festival.
This year presence from abroad was extremely limited because of the pandemic. However, the Italian duo decided to participate in person and performed a live concert at Vahdat Hall.
The participation of Mr. De Palma and Ms. Fratta in this edition of the Fajr Music Festival and the concert at the Residence - Ambassador Perrone stressed - are a sign of the extremely close bonds of friendship between Italian and Iranian peoples and a confirmation of the depth of artistic and cultural ties between the two countries.
The classical music repertoire performed by the duo at the Residence included“Dance Macabre” by C. Saint-Saens, “Czarda” by V. Monti, “Variations on one String from G. Rossini’s Mosè” by N. Paganini, Italian Opera Medley and “Summer” from A. Vivaldi. The Vahdat Hall’s highlights were “Scherzo in C Minor” by J. Brahms, “Sonata n. 3 in C Minor” by E. Grieg, and “Variations on a Theme from Rossini’s Mosè” by N. Paganini.
The closing ceremony of the 36th Fajr Music Festival will be held in Vahdat Hall on Monday, February 22, at 4:00 PM, in accordance with the health protocols, without the presence of the people and only with the presence of judges and candidates for the award of different sections of the festival.
