Yemen army hit Saudi base with new local-made Badr 4 ballistic missile

Yemeni army missile unit target Saudi-led mercenaries' base in southwestern Dhale province with three new home-made 'Badr F' ballistic missile in retaliation for Saudis fresh attacks on civilians.

Iran Press/Middle East: A source in the joint rocketry unit of army and Ansarallah popular forces on Friday told Yemeni local 'Al -Masirah that 3 'Badr F' ballistic missile hit mercenaries' reinforcements in Hakola camp with high precision which left dozen dead and wounded and also caused overall damage in the Saudi military camp.

The Rocketry Force of the Army and Popular Committees unveiled a new Ballistic Missile, Badr F, on April 16, which is simulated of the Russian Toshka missile.

Brigadier General Yahia Sare'e said in a press conference that "the Rocketry Force succeeded in developing and manufacturing a new ballistic missile. The missile carries the specifications of Russian missile Toshka."

The missile, which is one of the Badr ballistic missile systems, has a range of 160 km and explodes at a height of 20 meters above ground, and spread fragments in a beam of 350 meters and 14 thousand fragments.

On Wednesday Yemeni forces succeeded to hit the enemy gatherings off Mouris front in Dhale with three Zelzal-1 (Quake-1) short-range missiles. The report added that the projectiles had successfully struck the designated targets, killing an unspecified number of the militants.

Official UN figures say that more than 15,000 people have been killed in Yemen since the Saudi-led bombing campaign began in March 2015.

The Saudi war has impacted over seven million children in Yemen who now face a serious threat of famine, according to UNICEF figures. Over 6,000 children have either been killed or sustained serious injuries since 2015, UN children’s agency said. The humanitarian situation in the country has also been exacerbated by outbreaks of cholera, polio, and measles.

On the other hand, the US has provided billions of dollars of arms to the Saudi-led coalition waging a devastating war in Yemen. Members of Congress have expressed concern about the thousands of civilians killed in coalition airstrikes since the conflict began nearly four years ago.

Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched the devastating campaign on March 26, 2015, with the aim of bringing a former government to power and crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement. Riyadh has failed to fulfill its objectives.
