Zionist regime's jet fighters carried out air strikes, targeted positions in south of the Gaza Strip with more than two dozen rockets from Sunday night.

7 Palestinians killed and more than 7 others injured in the attacks, among those reported killed in the attack was Nour Baraka, a prominent commander of the al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas. Also one of the Israeli forces killed in fire exchange of fire in the Zionist undercover forces operation, Palestinian Ma'an News Agency reported.

According to Gaza health officials some civilians also killed and injured in the attacks.

In a statement, Hamas' military wing, the Qassam Brigades, said Israeli undercover forces in a civilian vehicle infiltrated three kilometers into Gaza and fatally shot one of its commanders.

It said Hamas resistance forces discovered the car and chased it down, prompting Israeli airstrikes that killed "a number of people". The clashes were still going on, statement said.

Israel claimed, the military had intercepted two rockets fired from Gaza as air raid sirens continued to sound.

The Zionist regime has urged its settlers in the Gaza Strip to stay indoors.
