The goal of normalizing Israel relations with the Arab countries is to completely undermine Palestinian rights.

Iran Press / Middle East: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a rare visit to Oman on Friday (Oct 26, 2018), as regional Arab countries are warming their relations with the Tel Aviv regime after reports of secret contacts.

In footage released by Omani state TV on Friday, Netanyahu is seen greeted by Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said at the Bait al-Barakah Royal Palace in the coastal city of Seeb near the capital Muscat.

The two sides discussed ways to advance the so-called Middle East peace process as well as a number of issues of mutual interest with regard to the region’s stability.

Netanyahu was accompanied by senior officials, including the head of the Mossad spy agency and his national security adviser.

Meanwhile, in Jun. 23, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met at the Royal Palace in the Jordanian capital on the sidelines of a visit to Amman by White House special adviser Jared Kushner and US Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt.

In November 2017, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted that despite having no diplomatic relations with Riyadh, Tel Aviv had "contacts" with Saudi Arabia, which he said "have been kept in general secret."

The so called peace process in the Middle East, which was formed in 1991 with the guidance and design of the United States and some European governments, is a dangerous and complex process aimed at completely undermining Palestinian rights.

Hassan Shaghir, a Middle East expert, believes that, given Oman's role in some cases in the region, Netanyahu's trip to Oman at this time was unexpected.

Shaghir added that Netanyahu's trip is the most dangerous part of the normalization process of the Arab world relations with the Zionist regime, in particular the Arab Gulf states, and it can initiate the normalization of relations in other areas such as cultural and security relations.

Sport diplomacy, another way in normalizing Israel relations with Arab countries

Netanyahu's unpublicized visit to Oman came on the same day as Israeli Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev traveled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to accompany Israel’s judo team at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam 2018.

Regev arrived in Abu Dhabi on Friday morning, and participated in the opening ceremony of the international event at the Emirati capital’s Zayed Sports City on Saturday. Her visit to the UAE marks the first of its kind by an Israeli minister to a Persian Gulf littoral state.

In another event, for the first time in an Arab territory, the Israeli national anthem “Hatikvah” played at the opening of the 48th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Qatar, which has been held from October, 25 till November, 3. The news of the arrival of the Israeli sports delegation to Doha sparked a storm of Arab criticism on social media as a “declared normalization”.

The rivalry of some Arab states in the region, in normalizing relations with Israel, could be one of the reasons for Netanyahu's visit to Oman; such a competition would have dangerous consequences for the people of the region, especially the Palestinian people.

Trump's "Deal of the Century" project is heavily pursued by the United States, and it will continue to dominate the Arab countries until it reaches its goal.

In the implementation of his project, Trump relocated the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem; then tried to totally eliminate Palestinian refugee problem, and now he forces the Arab states, one after another, to welcome Netanyahu, and in fact follows the removal of the Palestinian issue.

The United States and the Zionist regime, with various tricks, seek to divide the Islamic countries, and to cover up seventy years of occupation, brutality and killing of the oppressed Palestinians.

Enlarging Arab relations with the Zionist regime means a green light to Israel to increase its expansionism and domination in the region, and this process will be most harmful to the Arab states of the Persian Gulf.
