The Syrian Army killed one of the highest ranking terrorist commanders of ISIS in southwestern Syria last night.

According to a military report from Daraa, the Syrian Army killed one of the highest ranking commanders of ISIS, Abu Walid Al-Masri, after a fierce battle in the southwestern countryside of Daraa.

The report added that the terrorist commander was of Egyptian descent.

Meanwhile, a few weeks ago, the Syrian army seized a huge cache of weapons and ammunition in Daraa city, southwest of the country on 5 July  2018 .

ISIS members have recently been suffering heavy casualties in the Yarmouk Basin region, thanks in large part to the intensity of the Syrian Army’s attack.

A few hours ago the Russian Defense Ministry's Reconciliation Center in Syria said in a statement that terrorists groups from the southwestern de-escalation zone in Syria surrendered three tanks, two howitzers and five anti-aircraft installations over the past 24 hours.

About 1.2 million Syrian refugees have returned to their homes since September 2015.
