The funeral of a 15-year-old Palestinian teenager who was shot and martyred by Israeli soldiers has been held in Gaza strip.

Hundreds of Gazan residents participated in the funeral of  a 15-year-old Palestinian teenager, Othman Rami, who was shot and martyred by Israeli soldiers during a demonstration in Gaza strip on Friday.

The demonstrators forthrightly condemned Israel's continuing crimes against innocent Palestinians.

A 15-year-old Palestinian boy was martyred by Israeli forces' using live rounds against Palestinian protesters east of Gaza city, along the border fence with the occupied Palestinian territories, on Friday.

Also 43 other Palestinians were injured by Israeli army fire.

United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported on Friday that some 1,400 Palestinians shot by Israeli forces during “Great March of Return” protests in the occupied Gaza Strip face the possibility of “long-term disability.

The Great March of Return rallies culminated on May 15 to mark what Palestinians refer to as the Nakba, or Catastrophe - a reference to the forced removal of 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and villages to clear the way for the Israeli regime's establishment in 1948.

The mass Friday demonstrations have since continued.
