Commanders and officials of Iran’s Police Forces met with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei—the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces on Sunday morning (23 December 2018).

Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, while receiving the commanders and officials of the police, this morning (Sunday), the leader of the Islamic Revolution thanked the efforts by the guardians of order and security and regarded the police force as acting before public, reiterating: You should act in a way so the people perceive the police as an authoritative, just, aware and vigilant force.

The Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Armed Forces called unwavering advancement as the prerequisite for the Police Force to reach a deserving status within the revolution and the Islamic system, adding: "Different sectors of the police force—including the police stations, guardhouses, and patrols—act before the eyes of the people, and public judgment of the actions of the police are generalized to all the Armed Forces and the Islamic system."

He referred to the recent improvements in the police forces, including their improved behavior towards the people and the referrals to the police centers compared to the past, and emphasized on the need to continue the advancements, adding: "The police forces’ performance should be wise, well-managed and completely reassuring, gaining the trust to the people."

Also on November 5, in an exclusive interview with Iran press news agency, Iran's Chief of police, Brigadier General Ashtari, described Iran's police force as 'the guardian of Islamic Revolution's values' and 'observer of martyrs' blood' and as well as 'responsible  for public security and tranquillity' which also safeguards people's lives, properties and their honor.  103 / 211
