Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Health Minister said that more than 102 health protocols for 12,000 jobs have been provided by the Ministry of Health to curb the outbreak of deadly coronavirus.

Iran Press/Iran news:  Deputy Health Minister, Alireza Raisi in a press conference held at the Ministry of Health and Medical Education on Wednesday 15 April said that due to conducting hygiene and health protocols by people rate of infection to coronavirus in the country reduced but he warned that it should not be assumed that the virus has been controlled.

"Every day, many people around the world are affected by the coronavirus, the slightest negligence will cause the peak number of COVID-19 patients in the country," he stressed.

The Deputy Health Minister referred to the slowly resuming operation of businesses in the country, saying, "Resuming operation of businesses does not mean normalizing the conditions of the society, but it is due to economic activity and people's livelihood, and health protocols must be observed properly."

He emphasized that health protocols should be considered from three aspects: the business environment, employees and service providers, recipients of goods and services.

"The Ministry of Health has prepared more than 102 protocols for 12,000 jobs. By registering on the website of the Ministry of Health, the desired protocol will be sent to them and they are required to comply with it."

More than 80% of Iranian people screened

Alireza Raisi said that more than 80 percent of people in the country have been screened for the coronavirus.

He added that China had firstly announced that the new coronavirus has an R0 (Transmission Rate) of 3.8, meaning that each new person spreads the disease to about 3.8 people on average. Then, it was announced that the R0 was estimated to be 1.8.

Alireza Raisi stated, "Given that the spread of the disease is still ongoing and a large percentage of patients do not have symptoms, one way is to test all individuals and estimate the prevalence."

Deputy Health Minister said, "If more tests were done in each country, the number of affected people would be higher."

"In Spain, Italy, and even Iran, we are announcing definite cases, which is why we have implemented a disease screening program. There are definitely more cases, but it's not clear how much more," he added.

Yesterday, Iran’s Minister of Health has announced that the number of daily deaths caused by the Coronavirus in the country got decreased.

Addressing people on his Instagram page on Tuesday over the Corona crisis, Iran’s Minister of Health said that managing COVID-19 disease in the country achieved in its best way such that the number of deaths reached under 100 on Tuesday.

Also Head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that the COVID-19 death toll dropped below 100 in 24 hours.

According to Kianoush Jahanpour so far, 74,877 people in the country have definitely been infected with the Coronavirus, 4,683 people have died due to the virus and 48,129 have recovered.
