Syria (IP) – Several explosions were reported in a US base in Deir Ezzor in the eastern part of Syria.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Al-Mayadeen reported several explosions in the US military base near the Umar Oil Field, on the outskirts of Deir Ezzor, Syria. The news media outlet reported no further information about the explosions.

The illegal base has repeatedly been targeted by the Iraqi resistance groups due to the US constant support for the Israeli regime's crimes against the Gaza Strip in Palestine.

The US-backed Israeli unprecedented genocide of the Palestinian people began on October 7, as the result of which over 34,500 people have so far been martyred and over 77,700 others have been wounded, besides the Gazans' struggling with famine and starvation created due to the war.

Meanwhile, university students' protests across the US are going on with full force against the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip; a war which is fully supported by the US.
