Joint Iran-UAE coastguard meeting to be held in Tehran

The sixth joint Iran-UAE coastguard meeting is to be held in Tehran soon, attended by the senior coastguard and military officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United Arab Emirates.

Iran Press/Iran news: Officials will review bilateral cooperation between Iran and the United Arab Emirates at the meeting in Tehran.

According to an Iran Press report, a seven-member delegation of senior coastguard and military officials from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has arrived at Tehran to take part in the joint coastguard meeting.

The two sides are expected to discuss cooperation on maritime border issues, UAE citizens visiting Iran and vice versa, the issue of illegal entry, and faster exchange of information and intelligence by the coastguards of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United Arab Emirates.

The fifth joint Iran-UAE coastguard meeting was a two-day meeting held in Tehran on October 2013.
