A Greek national who has attended the Tehran Book Fair has emphasized that the event offers a chance for countries to get closer together, to have better communications and to have more cultural exchange.

Speaking on the sideline of International Book Fair (TIBF) in Tehran on Sunday 28 April, Katerina Balamoti, a Greek national and representative of Greece in Iran said the Book Fair has turned into a major cultural event, a landmark event attracting many publishers, translators and book lovers from all over the world.

In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Sunday, Katerina Balamoti said that she is happy to participate for second time in the book fair held in Tehran-Iran.

This Greek participant added: "To me this year's book fair is wonderful, very impressive, seeing the amount of international participants at the event. It is an opportunity to represent Greece.

She said that this book fair is also a chance to bring countries closer together, to share whatever they have  in common and make their communication tighter and have more cultural exchange.

The International Tehran Book Fair opened on Wednesday, Apr 24, 2019 and will continue until Saturday 4 May 2019.
