Iran Press/ Iran News: During the meeting of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus on Saturday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated: "In all provinces of Iran we were in a declining situation of COVID-19 both in terms of infection and deaths."
"We can get rid of the fourth wave of the coronavirus sooner. We must try not to move towards a new wave."
Referring to the process of the vaccination, Rouhani said: "Countries that have used approved vaccines and vaccinated 60 to 70 percent of their population have been able to control the coronavirus better."
Stressing that the situation in Iran is not such that the vaccine is sufficient and available for everyone, Rouhani said: "If we had 120 million doses for 60 million people today, the situation would be better and we could vaccinate 400 or 500 thousand people on a daily basis. However, the number of vaccines is limited, so we had to go to the people who are at more risk."
