Addressing reporters at his weekly press conference, Baqaei emphasized Iran's firm resolve in defending its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. “We certainly did not start the war, but we will not allow the end of the war to be dictated by the aggressor's terms,” he stated, stressing that the aggressor parties must be held accountable for their actions.
The spokesman then addressed regional countries regarding the use of their territories. He expressed hope that nations which made their bases available to the U.S. and the Zionist regime for aggression against a UN member state would take necessary measures to rectify the situation.
“There is no reason for any country to be concerned, unless they have made their bases, facilities, and equipment available to the aggressor parties to commit an unlawful act,” Baqaei clarified.
He reaffirmed that targeting the source of any aggression is Iran's legitimate right under international law, adding, “As we have demonstrated, we will show no hesitation in defending Iran’s existence.”
