Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has mocked U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to intensify the economic siege against Iran, stating that a "frozen foreign policy" only results in a "frozen economy."

In a post on X, Ghalibaf criticized the logic behind the sanctions against Iran, questioning how importing "frozen" goods could resolve the U.S.'s broader macroeconomic issues. "What’s the plan for bonds, import frozen yields? Frozen homebuyers for housing? Frozen paychecks for wages?" he wrote.

The Parliament Speaker emphasized the direct link between diplomatic stance and economic health, arguing that rigid and hostile policies fail to achieve their goals.

He concluded his post with a strong warning to Washington, noting that "The only thing still moving? The Iran boomerang."
