Speaking at a ceremony for renewing the government's allegiance to the ideals of Imam Khomeini (RA), Pezeshkian noted that his administration took office amid severe domestic imbalances in water, electricity, gas, the environment, and the banking sector, which were simultaneously compounded by the multi-front war.
Referring to the U.S. President's claims of imposing the "most crushing and terrifying" sanctions on Iran, Pezeshkian expressed gratitude to his cabinet and the First Vice President for their round-the-clock efforts to manage the crisis, successfully preventing a collapse in the job market and ensuring the supply of basic necessities.
"Although we are apologetic for the existing hardships, by taking inspiration from our esteemed martyrs and relying on the unparalleled steadfastness of our people, we are standing firm in the face of this unequal war," the President stated. He vowed that as long as they have life in their bodies, they will continue serving the people to preserve the country's dignity and overcome the current conditions.
Pezeshkian also praised the performance of managers and officials during the recent pressures and attacks. He highlighted that despite the intense coercion, Iran did not face the crises the enemy anticipated in critical sectors such as fuel supply, essential goods, roads, water, and general state management. He called for everyone to join hands and navigate through these crises with strength.
