Gov't Spox: Iran, sets goal for oil-free economy

Tehran (IP) - The spokesman for Iran's government said that the new 12 budget notes ratification for the upcoming year (1400 in the solar year) are moving toward oil-free budgeting and exports.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the weekly news conference on Tuesday the spokesman for Iran's government said that the new 12 budget notes ratifications for the upcoming year (1400 in the solar year) is going to aim at reducing the state budgets, moving toward oil-free budgeting and exports.

Referring to the approval of 12 notes of the budget bill in the cabinet meetings, the government spokesman Ali Rabi'ee said: "One of the most important goals of the 1400(2021) budget is to reduce the current budget and government expenditures and the second is to reduce the oil dependency in budgeting."  

Rabi'ee called internalization of government revenues, strengthening the non-governmental sector in the economy, paying special attention to anti-poverty plans, pursuing public livelihood support, expanding micro, small and medium employment, pursuing the plan to provide national housing within the framework of Ministry of Roads and Urban Development programs, and paying attention to productivity as the goals and approaches of 1400 budget plan.

According to him, the completion of semi-finished projects, paying attention to the environmental concerns and expansion of non-oil exports, as well as addressing new technologies and knowledge-based companies and development of programs to protect public health are among other goals of the 1400 budget plan.
