Iran's Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade met with Pakistan’s Minister of Petroleum to discuss ways to expand cooperation in the energy sector and other issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was held after the 10th session of the Iran-Pakistan Joint Economic Committee. The two sides reviewed existing capacities in the energy sector and stressed the need to develop cooperation in the fields of oil, gas, and petroleum products.

They also examined ways to enhance technical, executive, and investment-related interactions.

The Iranian and Pakistani ministers emphasized the continuation of consultations, the removal of existing obstacles, and the use of mutual capacities to strengthen energy security and develop economic relations.

The meeting was held as part of the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade’s bilateral meetings with members of Pakistan’s cabinet, and in line with efforts to follow up on agreements reached at the 10th session of the Joint Economic Committee between the two countries.
