Ammar al-Hakim, the leader of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement, called for increased academic and research cooperation between Iraq and Iran during a meeting with Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Hossein Simaei-Sarraf, and his delegation in Baghdad.

The two sides discussed strengthening ties between Iranian and Iraqi universities, promoting sister-university partnerships, and enhancing the exchange of academic expertise and experience.

Al-Hakim stressed that universities should align their educational outcomes with job market needs and urged scientific research to focus on developing practical solutions to regional crises and emerging challenges.

He also underscored the importance of advancing students' scientific knowledge and highlighted the Arbaeen pilgrimage as a powerful example of solidarity, praising the outstanding services provided by Iraqis to Imam Hussain's (AS) pilgrims from across Iraq and around the world.

Al-Hakim further emphasized the need to strengthen ties among societies based on the values and principles inspired by Imam Hussain.
