Iran's Minister of Science said that one Iranian medical university has established a branch campus in Iraq, offering programs in 13 academic fields under a license from the Iraqi government, according to which Iraq provides the investment and infrastructure, while the University of Tehran oversees academic programs and faculty.
Simayi-Sarraf added that Sharif University of Technology is also pursuing plans to establish a university in Iraq with investment from the Iraqi government.
He noted that around 180 cooperation agreements have been signed between Iranian and Iraqi universities, many of which are already being implemented.
