The ceremony featured traditional Alamkeshi processions in honor of Hazrat Abbas (AS), a symbolic funeral procession for Imam Hussein (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala, the carrying of the symbolic cradle of Hazrat Ali al-Asghar (AS), and other Ashura rituals.
Large-scale Arbaeen commemorations are also scheduled to take place across Pakistan on Tuesday, coinciding with Arbaeen Day.
