IRGC Top Commander: Iran takes national security seriouslly

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Commander of Ground Forces of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said that those states which are against Iran's revolution and their allies have recognized that the Islamic Republic of Iran takes national security seriously.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) ground forces, on Tuesday at the beginning of the final phase of the exercise 'Authority of the Kurdish Muslim Martyrs' in western Iran said: "Wherever terrorists are present, organized and deployed, they will be attacked."

Iran's top IRGC commander stated that the exercise area was connected to the border of the Iraqi Kurdistan region and some terrorists may use this geographical position and be present in this area, adding that targeting terrorist hideouts and headquarters surrounding the exercise with the aim of clearing the region of the terrorists and villains is one of the goals of the 'Muslim Kurdish Martyrs Authority' exercise.

Explaining the goals set for the exercise, Pakpour added: "Assessing the ability of tactical commanders, improving unit coordination, and operationalizing training are other objectives of this exercise."

The exercise is one of the annual exercises of the IRGC's ground forces in the northwest, west, and southeast of the country, which is being held in the general area of Kurdistan. 104/207
