The British Meteorological Agency has issued over a hundred flood warnings across various regions of the country, with an orange weather warning issued for certain areas and a yellow warning for others. The agency has forecasted wind, rain, and snow in certain locations for the upcoming two days.

Aerial images from flooded areas in Manchester depict extensive flooding of roads, streets, and buildings. Numerous cars were abandoned in parking lots and left in a state of disrepair.

Car rescue organizations report receiving numerous calls for assistance on New Year's Day. However, due to the holiday season and limited manpower, they can only address a small portion of the requests.

The inclement weather conditions impacting multiple regions of the UK in recent days have resulted in the cancellation of numerous land, air, and rail journeys on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
