Iran's Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam to Pakistan said that the translation of Qaiser Aminpour’s poetry into Urdu is an excellent literary gift for lovers of literature, Persian language poetry is very popular in Pakistan and people who love literature read Persian literature with great enthusiasm.
Talking to Iran Press, Majeed Meshki, Iran's Cultural Attache' to Islamabad, said: "we have brought here books of Persian literature that have been translated into Urdu. We are looking for people who can translate Persian and Urdu literature because the language of culture is common and we hope that our efforts will play an important role in promoting culture between the two countries."
Mehr Noor Mohammad Khan, the translator, told Iran Press: "Urdu literature has many Persian influences, but since English became more influential here, it has become somewhat distant from the Persian language. The recent generation is not so aware of the subjects of Persian literature. The relations between Iran and Pakistan are very old and literature can play the most important role in maintaining them. Dr. Qaiser Aminpour is a very famous poet among the modern poets, so I thought that his poetry should be translated into Urdu so that Urdu readers here can explore his poetry and our relations will become stronger."
Pakistan has historical connections to the Persian realm, particularly through the influence of Persian culture, language, and politics over the centuries.
