President Pezeshkian said: "Today, we commemorate the martyrs which killed by US oppressive and treacherous policy in the region five years ago. We have gathered to honor a figure whose works and path are a lasting symbol for the journey we must undertake.
The enemy plans to exploit differences between Muslims and Martyr Soleimani was a man who never got involved in political affairs and was obedient to his leader, the President said, adding that We will continue the path of Martyr Soleimani with strength.
Iranian President said: "Martyr Soleimani has taken root and penetrated the hearts of all free people in the world. Martyr Soleimani's life showed that a free person will never die."
"We pledge to continue the path of these loved ones with strength and to stand against oppression. I am unable to speak to you or discuss the generosity, effort, and greatness of these martyrs. I promise you and will strive to never do anything other than the path of truth, defending the oppressed, and striving to eliminate discrimination, oppression, and tyranny in life, Pezeshkian said.
He added: We will crush the faces of our enemies May God grant us the same martyrdom that he granted to Martyr Soleimani. It was very difficult for a person of the greatness of Martyr Soleimani to die in bed. Martyr Soleimani should have disgraced America and its enemies with his blood."
Tens of thousands of Iranian people attended the southeastern province of Kerman to pay homage to top anti-terror commander General Qassem Soleimani.
Similar marches were held across the country including in the capital city of Tehran.
