Iran Press/Asia: Iran-Pakistan relations, and the regional situation, especially the ongoing aggression of the illegal Zionist state in Gaza, were discussed in the meeting between the Iranian Ambassador and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
On this occasion, Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam said that we appreciate the efforts of the Government of Pakistan, the people, and JUI for supporting the Palestinian cause and organizing worthy Gaza solidarity demonstrations across the country.
Pakistan is among the few countries where all political parties, putting aside differences, presented a resolution for Palestine.
The Iranian ambassador said it is a matter of honor and respect to discuss and consult with scholars, especially a wise and famous political leader like Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
"Maulana is not only a great religious figure of Pakistan but also the head of a major political party and his party has held grand demonstrations in favor of Palestine, which is a commendable struggle", the Ambassador said.
On this occasion, Jamiat Ulma e Islam Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said that Pakistan and Iran are two brotherly neighboring countries and have the same position regarding the Palestine issue.
He said that the Islamic world should raise a strong voice in support of the Palestinians, and important countries of the region like Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia should take concrete steps against the defense of Gaza and Israel.
He said that we, together with the Pakistani people, buried the conspiracy to recognize Israel in Pakistan.
After the meeting, Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, while talking to the Iranian media, said that America has never been a benefactor of the Muslim Ummah, America always has its interests and constantly supports the Zionist state of Israel, the apocalypse has been brought about in Gaza, but America does not see these serious violations of human rights.
He further said that America and the imperialist powers are conspiring to divide the Muslim world, the Islamic world is involved in sectarian tension due to the disgusting politics of America and others, and such politics cannot be called humanity.
