The Israeli regime's ethnic cleansing in Gaza has reached a degree where the medical system in the strip has collapsed amidst a cold winter in the Mediterranean region.

Iran Press/West Asia: Further to the massacre of more than 45,500 people in Gaza, so far since October 2023, the Israeli regime has targeted the health infrastructure of the city, as it did in the first days of the new genocidal war on Gaza and exploded Al-Mamadani Hospital.

The string of brutal attacks now reached the Kamal Adawan Hospital; the regime forced the patients and the wound out and burnt the hospital.

Winter has come, the weather is cold, and freezing, and the exhausted tents under which the war-torn Palestinians are grappling with cold and starvation.

The Israeli regime on the one hand does not let such basic items as food and blankets into Gaza, and on the other hand, it does not stop destroying the hospitals.

To describe the dire situation in Gaza, the Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) wrote on his X account:

"Hospitals in #Gaza have once again become battlegrounds and the health system is under severe threat.

Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern #Gaza is out of service — following the raid forced patient and staff evacuation, and the detention of its director, Dr Hussam Abu Safiya two days ago. His whereabouts are unknown. We call for his immediate release.

The critical patients were moved to the Indonesian Hospital, which is itself out of function.
We repeat: stop attacks on hospitals. People in Gaza need access to health care. Humanitarians need access to provide health aid. Ceasefire!"

Israel has so far killed more than a thousand doctors and nurses, arrested over 300 Palestinian medical staff, and devastated 34 hospitals and 80 other medical centers.

The Palestine Red Crescent says that only three hospitals were operating in northern Gaza, one of which was Kamal Adwan Hospital.

In these conditions, the situation has become even more difficult for the residents of Gaza. With the collapse of the healthcare system, cold weather, and lack of sanitary facilities, the spread of infectious diseases such as cholera has increased. Many patients who require continuous treatment are unable to continue their treatment process.

On the one hand, starvation and cold threaten the lives of the Gazans; the World Food Program says that hunger has spread throughout Gaza, and the WFP is only able to provide food for one-third of those in need in the strip.

On the other hand, the cold wave and the lack of basic infrastructure for providing water and electricity, as well as the fact that the residents of Gaza are living in tents, have caused many sick individuals and children to lose their lives due to the cold.

Philippe Lazzarini, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), announced that children in Gaza are freezing due to the cold and lack of shelter and that Israel is not allowing blankets and winter supplies to enter Gaza.

These days the US and European allies of the Israeli regime are warmly celebrating the New Year in their squares and streets spending the dollars they gained out of arms sale to the regime. And here in Gaza, children are shivering out of cold, hunger, and bombing sounds.

The seventh Gazan baby died due to the cold amidst the Westerners' cheering.
