An explosion took place in the west of Kabul killing at least 5 people and injuring 8 others.

Iran Press/Asia News: Officials in Afghanistan ministry of interior confirmed that the explosion took place in Dar-ul-Aman area of the city, Khaama Press reported.

The officials further added that the explosion targeted a vehicle which was transporting a group of governmental employees.

No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility for the explosion.

This comes as an explosion ripped through the vehicle of Education University in Kabul city on Sunday.

The explosion killed two people and wounded at least ten others.
