Russian UN Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia has warned the US about "grave repercussions" if it carries out an attack against Syrian government forces, using an alleged chemical attack as a pretext.

Speaking at the UN Security Council on Monday, Nebenzia said:  "There was no chemical weapons attack.  We have already conveyed to the US, through the relevant channels, that use of armed force against Syria (the Syrian government) , using a false pretext, could lead to grave repercussions (for America). Russian troops have been deployed in Syria, at the request of the legitimate government of the country".

US and Russia traded threats and accusations at a United Nations Security Council meeting on Monday.  Russia adopted a firm stance against a possible US attack on Syria. Russia says there was no chemical attack in Douma , Syria,

The US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki  Haley, meanwhile, said the US "will respond" to the alleged chemical attack regardless of whether the UN Security Council acts or not.

Brushing aside concerns about a false flag operation, or suggestions that the Takfiri Terrorists themselves (or "rebels" as the Americans like to call them) may have used nasty chemicals against the people of Douma, Nikki  Haley said:  "We have reached the moment when the world must see justice done".
