Great drill in 24 provinces for combating Covid-19 underway

Tehran (IP) - The Commander of the Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari said that a great drill is underway in 24 provinces.

Iran Press/Iran News: Commander of the Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari delivered a speech on the inauguration ceremony of 2000- bed hospital by the army and said that a big drill is underway in 24 provinces to counter coronavirus.

He added that 19 regional bases are guiding 63 special units in the army.

"Several steps have been taken in this drill namely controlling city entrances, establishing rehabilitation centers and field hospitals," Heidari stated.

Also in this regard, Seyyed Abdol-Rahim Mousavi Chief Commander of the Army in a letter to Minister of Health Saeed Namaki announced the army's readiness to help the healthcare system in the fight against coronavirus.

Deputy Commander of Army for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari also stated that 32 hospitals and 1,600 beds of the army are giving service to Coronavirus patients.

He added that more than 200 centers for diagnosing the infected and 4,575 rehabilitation centers in different provinces are active.
