Anti-war activists gathered outside the office of the British prime minister on Tuesday to condemn continued US and Israeli actions in West Asia and what they described as repeated violations of ceasefire agreements.

Jacob Wise, a Jewish rabbi participating in the rally, said attempts to ban pro-Palestine demonstrations amount to anti-Semitism, stressing that protesters are standing in solidarity with the oppressed people and innocent civilians affected by the violence.

Another participant, Geoffrey Verlan, criticized efforts to restrict Palestine solidarity marches under the guise of combating anti-Semitism.

He said many Jewish people support Palestinian rights and noted that the continued presence of Jewish activists at such demonstrations helps counter the perception that all Jews oppose the Palestinian cause.
