On Sunday evening, Abbas Araghchi held separate telephone conversations with Egyptian Foreign Minister "Badr Abdelatty," French Foreign Minister "Jean-Noël Barrot," Iraqi Foreign Minister "Fuad Hussein," Qatari Foreign Minister "Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani," Saudi Foreign Minister "Faisal bin Farhan," Turkish Foreign Minister "Hakan Fidan," UK Foreign Secretary "Yvette Cooper," and Pakistani Army Commander General "Asim Munir." He discussed the latest regional developments following Iran's response to the repeated violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon by the Zionist regime.
The Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) Headquarters announced on Sunday evening in a statement the start of Iran's response operations to the crimes of the Zionist regime, declaring: "The aggressive Zionist regime, by repeatedly violating the ceasefire, has day by day increased its villainy against the oppressed people of Lebanon with the green light and support of criminal America and the silence of international bodies, and commits war crimes using prohibited weapons such as phosphorus bombs. Despite previous warnings from the Islamic Republic of Iran, the child-killing Zionist regime, crossing all red lines and increasing attacks in southern Lebanon, has targeted the Dahieh of Beirut."
The statement further adds: "We had previously warned that if crimes expanded to the Dahieh of Beirut, we would strike targets in the occupied territories. The Zionist army must stop its attacks on southern Lebanon and the Dahieh, and if it expands its attacks to that region or responds to Iran's action, it will face more crushing and regrettable strikes, and devastating attacks against the regime and its supporters will begin."
