Talking to Iran Press Correspondent, Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is driven by personal and political interests, noting that ongoing legal proceedings against him could threaten both his political future and personal freedom.
Khawaja Asif stated that Netanyahu has pushed the region and the wider world towards conflict for his own survival. He also criticized the United States for continuing its support of Israel, urging Washington to reconsider backing a state that has been responsible for civilian casualties in Iran, Lebanon and Gaza.
Referring to the recent confrontation between Iran and Israel, the Pakistani Defense Minister said Iran has demonstrated resilience and strength: "Israel, which once considered itself untouchable, witnessed unprecedented security concerns as citizens sought shelter in bunkers and basements."
Expressing solidarity with Iran, Palestine and Lebanon, Khawaja Asif said he believes these nations will ultimately prevail. He further stressed the importance of unity among Muslim countries, calling on the Muslim Ummah to overcome divisions and work together in the face of common challenges.
