Reuters quotes informed sources as reporting Norway's oil tanker struck by a torpedo off the coast.

Shipping sources said that the two tankers are evacuated in the sea of Oman and the crew of both ships are safe.

Iran rescued 44 crew members of tankers hit by blast and transferred them to Jask.

Japan's minister of economy, trade, and industry, Hiroshige Sek? said that two Japan-related trade ships are attacked near the Strait of Hormoz.

Also, Bloomberg reported that an oil tanker had caught fire after leaving the port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, citing an unnamed official from the port.

According to the reports, Brent oil price goes up 4% following the tanker explosion in the sea of Oman.

It comes a month after an attack on four oil tankers off the UAE in the Gulf of Oman. No group has taken the responsibility of the attacks. Iran’s Al-Alam TV said that there had been “two consecutive explosions” citing Omani local sources. Two oil tankers, which were full of oil, reportedly sent distress signals. Pakistan sources also reported the incident, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported. 213/21
