The spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry Bahram Ghasemi has forthrightly rejected accusations by Danish officials who had claimed Iranian agents were behind an attempted assassination of an Iranian dissident in Denmark.

Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, Ghasemi said Denmark was trying to mar growing relations between Iran and Europe.

Danish Police had claimed 'Iranian agents' were behind an attack on an Iranian dissident living in Denmark.

The Danish government and Police have refused to reveal the identity of the person who has been attacked,  or the motives of the group of people who have allegedly carried out the attack. Danish officials have also refused to reveal the extent of injuries of the victim in this case.

The Danish foreign ministry has already summoned Iran's ambassador to Copenhagen to protest at alleged Iranain involvement in the attack.
