Iran Press/ Europe: Asked by reporters about the possibility of reducing cooperation between Iran and the IAEA, Rafael Grossi said: "I can't speculate on that. even talking about that is silly, and it will deviate my work in the body, and I will act accordingly on the agenda and the tasks assigned to me."
Regarding his views on the outcome of today's vote, he said: "We always prefer decisions that are agreed upon."
Regarding the possibility of referring Iran's case to the Security Council, the IAEA Director-General said that it was up to the Board of Governors members, adding: "But if we can work together to solve these problems, there will be no need to take further steps."
Noting that continuing of the cooperation is the only way forward in Iran's nuclear program, the IAEA Director-General added: "There is no other way but access (to nuclear sites in Iran) and working with Iran."
The proposed EU3 resolution against Iran was approved by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Friday, June 20, despite strong opposition from China and Russia.
In the resolution, the three European countries, Britain, Germany, and France, which were approved with the support of the United States, called on Iran to provide the necessary access to the two nuclear sites for the Agency's inspectors.
China and Russia have voted against the resolution, saying it would jeopardize JCPOA.
Iran's Ambassador to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Kazem Gharibabadi in response to the resolution adopted by the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors said that Iran completely rejects the resolution and will take appropriate and necessary action in response to it.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran has the highest level of cooperation and acceptance of IAEA inspections among member states. More than 33 additional accesses are granted annually by Iran, but with the magnification of two IAEA access requests, Iran has principled ambiguities and concerns in this regard," he said on Friday.
