Zarif: Unilateralism leads to rule of jungle

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, has stressed that unilateralism can replace the legal administration with the rule of the jungle.

Iran Press/Middle East: "So long as we don't use our capabilities and potentials to guarantee multilateralism, unilateralism in an instance can replace legal administration with the law of the jungle," Mohammad Javad Zarif said.

According to an Iran Press report, Zarif made the remarks at the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) meeting in Doha, Qatar.

"Using power against nations is actually a threat to the whole world," Iranian Foreign Minister noted.

"Asia and especially west Asia and the Persian Gulf are engaged in crisis as a result of the US unilateralism," Zarif said.

"It is so because of the lack of widespread regional dialogue and also as a result of the short-sighted adventures of the US," Iranian Foreign Minister concluded.

Zarif left Tehran for Qatar’s capital of Doha to attend the 16th ministerial meeting of Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) on Tuesday afternoon. 101/211/201
