According to initial reports, the checkpost was completely destroyed in the blast, leaving several officers trapped beneath the rubble. Rescue operations have been ongoing since late last night, with rescue teams, police officials, and local residents taking part in efforts to recover those buried under the debris.
So far, the bodies of 15 police officers have been recovered from the wreckage, while three injured officers have been pulled out alive and transferred to medical facilities for treatment.
Officials stated that rescue work is still underway, with heavy machinery being used to clear debris from the destroyed checkpost.
