FM Zarif departs for Doha to attend ACD meeting

Iranian Foreign Minister left Tehran for Qatar’s capital of Doha to attend 16th ministerial meeting of Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) on Tuesday afternoon.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left Tehran for Doha on Tuesday afternoon to attend Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), Mehr News Agency reported.

The Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) started in June 2002, as Foreign Ministers from the original 18 member countries initiated an informal non-institutional forum to enhance cooperation within Asia. One focus of the ACD member economies, which has grown to 28, is on finance.

The idea of an Asia Cooperation Dialogue was raised at the First International Conference of Asian Political Parties (held in Manila between 17–20 September 2000). 103/211/209
