U.S. Presence: Creating a Cycle of Violence and Bullying
Baghaei stated in response to the U.S. President's rhetoric against Iran: "Iran has proven that it is a responsible power in the region, but at the same time, it is a power that opposes bullying. The mere presence of the U.S. in the region and the mere existence of U.S. military bases in the region are themselves instances of creating a cycle of violence and bullying."
He added: "Washington's rhetoric about Iran does not change the reality, which is that the U.S. has placed itself in the position of the greatest threat to international peace and security."
Iran's Proposal: Reasonable and Generous Demands
Regarding the U.S. President's reaction to Iran's proposal, Baghaei said: "Everything we proposed in the text was reasonable and responsible demands and generous offers—not only for Iran's national interests, but for the good, stability, and security of the entire region and the world."
He asked: "Are our demands for an end to the war in the region, stopping maritime piracy against Iranian ships, the release of assets belonging to the Iranian people, ensuring safe passage in the Strait of Hormuz, and establishing security and peace across the entire region, especially in Lebanon, irresponsible demands?"
He noted that all these issues were supposed to be discussed within the framework of the proposal package. Still, the American side continues to insist on its unilateral views and unreasonable demands based on mindsets fabricated by the Zionist regime.
U.S. Crime in Minab: Cannot Be Whitewashed
The spokesperson strongly condemned the attack on the Minab school, emphasizing: "From the very first days of U.S.-Israeli attacks on Minab school, the global public conscience recognized that this act was a criminal act and a clear war crime, which was entirely premeditated and carried out by firing two Tomahawk missiles at the Minab school."
He added: "Regardless of how they may try to whitewash it or evade accountability, it has become clear to the people of Iran the nature of assistance the United States provides."
Strait of Hormuz: Any Interference Will Complicate the Situation
In response to reports about the deployment of French and British warships to the region, Baghaei replied: "We have clearly conveyed to European countries that they should not allow the provocation of the United States or the Israeli regime regarding regional issues to draw them into a crisis that will certainly bring them no benefit."
He further stated: "Any country that considers itself responsible in relation to international peace and security, and the economic well-being of its citizens, should direct its pressure toward those sides that have caused disruption to the safe passage of maritime navigation in the West Asia region."
