Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Moussavi expressed Iran's dissatisfaction with the latest development in Hong Kong, saying what is happening in Hong Kong is not good for China.

Iran Press/Iran news: Moussavi in an interview with Iran Press about the latest developments in Hong Kong said that these days we witness violence in Hong Kong which is not to the benefit of the country and the region.

Some foreign interference can be seen in Hong Kong which is not acceptable from the Islamic Republic of Iran's point-of-view, he added.

The official went on to say that Western countries must allow China to follow its own system. Iran has always supported the 'One China Policy' and invites Hong Kong protesters to peacefully demand change and to avoid violence, which will help security and peace in the region.

Hong Kong has been governed under a “one-country, two-system” model since the city — a former British colony — was returned to China in 1997.

The Chinese government says the United States and Britain have been fanning the flames of unrest in Hong Kong by supporting the protesters. 101/211
