Message on Eid al-Ghadir and Anniversaries
The message of Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei was read this morning by Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Javad Hajj Ali Akbari at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA). The message marked the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, the 37th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini, and the anniversary of the commencement of the leadership of the Martyr Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
Eid al-Ghadir: The Day of Divine Covenant
The Leader congratulated Muslims on Eid al-Ghadir, describing it as the day God perfected the religion and completed His favor through the Wilayah (guardianship) of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (AS). He noted that Ghadir serves as a reminder of a figure who lived solely for God, making him the ultimate role model for all Muslims, from infants to the elderly and from ordinary citizens to leaders.
Understanding the Depth of Imam Khomeini (RA)
The message highlighted the passing of Imam Khomeini as an opportunity to reflect on a charismatic yet often under-recognized personality. It stated that a deep understanding of his enlightened path is the guiding light for the future of Islamic Iran. The Leader noted that many, especially the youth, did not have the opportunity to know him directly, and even those who witnessed his life rarely grasped the full depth of his character and his path.
Rising for God is the Foundation
Citing the Quranic verse "Say: I exhort you only to one thing: that you rise up for Allah," the message emphasized that "Rising for God" (Qiyam lillah) is the foundation of Imam Khomeini’s school. It was this divine movement that invited the Iranian nation to rise for God, bringing forth divine blessings and guidance.
Awakening the Nation against Arrogance
The Leader posed a question about which immense force was able to awaken the "sleeping nation" enchanted by colonialism during the 15th of Khordad 1342 (June 5, 1963). He recalled the millions who took to the streets on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11, 1979) and the 14th of Khordad (June 4, 1989). Pointing to the most recent astonishing example, he asked which solid power and iron will inspired the nation from the dawn of the 10th of Esfand 1404 (February/March 2026) such that, even after three months, they remain in the field with high morale, seeking vengeance for the Martyred Leader and safeguarding the Islamic Republic.
Reviving the Nation’s Potential
The message declared that it was Imam Khomeini and the Martyr Khamenei who discovered and revived the potential and readiness of the Iranian nation. It cited Imam Khomeini’s political testament, where he said that the Iranian nation in the current era is superior to the people of Hijaz at the time of the Prophet and Kufa at the time of Imam Ali (AS).
A Source of Pride for Free Nations
Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei (may God protect him) stated that today, the Iranian nation is proud to have become a source of pride for free nations and the observant world through its new resurgence alongside the Resistance Front. Quoting the Martyr Leader (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei), he described Imam Khomeini’s steel-like character, assured heart, and influential tongue as the powerful hand that stirred the vast ocean of the nation, bringing millions into the field and teaching them the direction of movement.
The Khamenei School: Extension of Pure Islam
The message emphasized that the school of the Martyr Khamenei is the same school of Imam Khomeini within the continuum of Pure Muhammadan Islam. It noted that following the path of his predecessor, the Martyr Leader raised the level of awareness and readiness in society over nearly four decades, leading to a new resurgence of the nation following his martyrdom.
14 Khordad: A Renewal of Allegiance
The Leader highlighted that the Martyr Khamenei had turned the 14th of Khordad into an annual opportunity for the nation to renew its covenant with Imam Khomeini. He reiterated the Martyr Leader's teachings: that the Iranian nation is faithful, intelligent, and brave; that the people are the true owners of the country; and that they can realize any correct change they pursue. He also stressed the duty to support the oppressed, noting that the hegemonic system, led by the U.S., has a problem with Iran's distinct and defiant identity.
Defeating Hybrid Warfare Plots
Addressing the enemy's tactics, the Leader stated that the hegemonic system and its "garrison," Israel, do not accept a strong Iran on the eastern borders of the fabricated "Greater Israel." He noted that the enemy, having suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Iran's brave forces—both militarily and on the streets—has shifted to a hybrid war targeting two points: the resilience of the people and the calculations of officials. The enemy's primary tools are sowing doubt, despair, fear, suspicion, and discord. He called on everyone to neutralize these plots through steadfastness, vigilance, unity, and mutual trust, warning that actions causing public frustration only aid the enemy.
Building a Brilliant Future
Concluding the message, the Leader said a new opportunity has arisen to practically introduce and realize the school of Imam Khomeini and the Martyr Khamenei as oppressed yet powerful and victorious leaders of the Islamic Revolution worldwide. He entrusted this role to the people, especially the youth and elites, calling on them to build a brilliant future for Iran based on this school, trusting in God's promises under the shadow of the Awaited Savior (may God hasten his reappearance).
