Iran Press/ Iran news: Chief of Staff of Iranian President Mahmoud Vaezi has said that the two countries have had good relations in the past, but have always been under pressure from regional countries because of US divisive policies.
"But US policies have now become clear and neighboring countries have realized that there is no other way than regional peace to eliminate conflict and division," Vaezi said in a recent interview with Iran's daily Etemad.
According to an Iran Press report, commenting on the new approach of the countries of the region towards US policies Vaezi said: "New US troops have arrived in Saudi Arabia and this is in line with US policies to divide and exert pressure on regional countries, and this policy will certainly fail with the recent approach of the countries of the region to discuss regional security."
The Chief of Presidential Staff went on to say: "We have delivered a clear message not only to Saudi Arabia but also to all the countries in the region, and the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has sent a written message to all the countries in the region to resolve disputes, which represent our initiative and insistence on restoring peace on the basis of convergence and cooperation in the region.
