Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Abbas Mousavi

Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman said that by initiating Hormuz Peace Endeavor (HOPE), the country is serious to secure stability in Persian Gulf.

Iran Press/ Iran news: Abbas Mousavi announced on Saturday that Iran has sent the full text of the Initiative of Hormuz Peace Endeavor (HOPE), to members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) as well as to Iraq.

Mousavi added that the Initiative (HOPE) which had already been presented by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the 74th United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York, indicates Iran's seriousness in preserving the stability and security of the Persian Gulf region.

"The full text of the Initiative was sent to the members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) as well as to Iraq, calling for its implementation," he noted.

According to Mousavi, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will also send a letter to United Nations Secretary-General regarding the Initiative of Hormuz Peace Endeavor (HOPE).
