Iran’s President, in a message, expressed his condolences to the Tunisian government and nation for the loss of their President, Beji Caid Essebsi.

Iran PressIran news: In his message sent to Tunisia’s interim President, Mohamed Ennaceur on Friday, Iran’s President, Hassan Rouhani condoled the loss of Tunisia’s President, Beji Caid Essebsi, beseeched the Almighty to grant him everlasting mercy and greatness for the Tunisian nation. 

Earlier on July 25, the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohmmad Javad Zarif, in a message to the Tunisian counterpart,  also offered his condolences for the loss of Tunisia’ President, expressing sympathy to the Tunisian nation and government and emphasizing that Iran will stand beside them, Iran Press reported.

One of the world's oldest leaders, Beji Caid Essebsi, who was Tunisia's first democratically elected president, died at the age of 92 at the Tunis military hospital on Thursday morning.
