In a message issued on the anniversary of the opening of Iran’s first parliament and the beginning of the third year of the current legislature, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei described parliament as a key pillar of the Islamic Republic and urged lawmakers to intensify efforts to address economic and social challenges.
He said legislators should prioritize inflation control, economic stability, production growth, employment, anti-corruption measures, and reconstruction efforts to address damage caused by recent conflicts.
Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei also called for closer coordination between parliament, the government, and the judiciary under the framework of a “resistance economy” and national unity.
The Iranian leader warned that adversaries were attempting to compensate for failures in military confrontation by pursuing strategies to create social fragmentation within Iran.
Ayatollah Khamenei urged political figures and lawmakers to avoid turning differences into division and to help strengthen the country’s “unprecedented national cohesion.”
Iran's Leader also praised the Iranian people’s resilience during recent tensions, saying the country had demonstrated unity and steadfastness in the face of foreign pressure.
