Tehran(IP): The CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City announced the negotiation with the Chinese contractor for a 3-billion-euro contract to build a 410,000-meter terminal at the Imam Khomeini Airport (RA).

Iran PressIran news: Recognized as main international airport of Iran, Imam Khomeini Airport International Airport, which is located in the southwest of Tehran, has very suitable facilities for welcoming and seeing off Iranian and foreign travelers.

Talking about the construction of a 410,000-meter terminal in this airport, Saeed Chalandari, The CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City (IKAC), said:

"Negotiations with a Chinese company have continued for the past two months and it has been decided that the Ministry of Roads will pay up to 3 billion euros, which will be done through cash payments or clearing with Chinese contractors."

Chalandari added: Regarding the second phase of Imam Khomeini Airport (RA), which is a 410,000-meter terminal, in addition to the side buildings, technical block control tower, and the completion of the southern runways, all studies have been done and foreign and domestic groups and investors have been discussed.

The CEO of IKAC also said:" According to the development plan and with the completion of the second phase, we predicted 90 million passengers, by the end of the 13th government, we will be able to put a part of this 410,000-meter terminal into operation and increase the reception capacity to 25 million passengers, and with the completion of the second phase to receive 90 million passengers."
