Tehran (IP) - The United Nations Chief’s Special Envoy for Syria, and Senior Advisor for Special Political Affairs to Iran’s Foreign Minister, in a telephone conversation discussed the latest political and humanitarian situation in Syria, especially the constitutional committee and the recent UN Security Council resolution.

Iran PressIran news: The Iranian foreign minister’s senior advisor, Ali Asghar Khaji, referred to UNSC 2642 resolution regarding humanitarian assistance and expressed hope that the problems that arose regarding the implementation of the UNSC 2585 resolution would not happen again in the case of UNSC 2642 resolution.

He further voiced hope that relief aid will be allocated in a fair, balanced, and more transparent manner and without any discrimination and political preconditions to all people across Syria and the provisions pertaining to the preliminary recovery of infrastructure that is vital for the daily lives of the Syrian people and has been emphasized in the recent resolution and the previous ones will be fully implemented.

Khaji and Geir Pedersen also underlined the importance of continuing the political process in Syria and also the continuation of the work of Syria’s constitutional committee until all targets that have been set will be achieved.
