A commemoration ceremony honoring Iran’s martyred Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Alli Khamenei was held in Tehran, attended by a group of prominent, accomplished, and influential women. The central theme of the event was the role and status of women in society and governance and the importance of ensuring their presence in managerial and decision-making positions.
During the ceremony, a number of prominent and influential women, emphasizing the martyred Leader’s views on the role of women in society, stressed the need to create opportunities for women to play an active and effective role in various social, political, and managerial fields.
Government Spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said:"One of the teachings of our Martyred Leader was the importance of women’s presence in government and providing them with opportunities to take on leadership and managerial roles. President Pezeshkian has also sought to provide such opportunities for women. Today, we see a woman serving as a minister and, for the first time, as a government spokesperson. These are examples of the opportunities being provided to women in line with the guidance and vision of our Martyred Leader."
Iran's Minster of Road and Urben Development Farzaneh Sadegh said:"I am one example of what our martyred Leader always emphasized regarding the role of women in society. He always insisted that women should be decision-makers and play an active role in decision-making. In the fourteenth cabinet, a woman was nominated for one of the most specialized ministries. Following consultations and research that confirmed the nominee’s qualifications and expertise, the President put forward the proposal, and Parliament ultimately approved it."
