Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed his sympathy to the victims' families, the government and the Cuban nation following an explosion at a hotel in Havana, the capital of Cuba.

Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed his condolences and sympathy to the victims' families, the government, and the Cuban people following an explosion at a hotel in Havana that left more than 80 casualties.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman wished the injured a speedy recovery and health.

The blast had left at least 22 people dead and more than 60 injured.

It is said that a gas tanker that was parked outside the Saratoga Hotel in Old Havana ignited, causing a massive blast that destroyed several floors of the 19th-century building.
