Iran Press/Iran news: Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), said in a meeting with ambassadors and heads of missions of Iran in neighboring countries: "Resolving any tensions and misunderstandings, developing and strengthening comprehensive cooperation, especially in the fields of economy, defense and security, and strategic partnership, are among the priorities of Iran's foreign policy towards its neighbors."
Referring to the decline of US hegemonic power and the growing development of emerging powers, Shamkhani said that the US withdrawal from the region is due to the failure of its policies in Iraq, Afghanistan and West Asia.
The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council also stated that the defeat of the Saudi-led coalition in the Yemeni war, the serious determination of Lebanese Hezbollah to maintain the deterrence equation, and the emergence of Gaza as an important power against the Zionist regime are examples of new developments in the region.
Shamkhani, stating that one of the most important developments of this period was the failure of the strategy of maximum pressure from the United States and its allies against Iran, stressed: "Today, all the major players in the region and the world acknowledge that with the unparalleled stability of the Iranian nation, not only has US maximum pressure failed, but Iran and the Resistance Front have also been able to overcome one of the most important factors of insecurity in the region, namely ISIS and dismantle the center of terrorism organized by the United States.
The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council pointed out: "One of the main strategies of the Zionist regime is Iranophobia and creating tension in Iran's relations with its neighbors."
